CRIME AND PUNISHMENT

Book Cover Design

For this project, I selected Crime and Punishment, a book I deeply admire, and designed a new cover inspired by the Russian Constructivist movement. My goal was to visually capture the themes of isolation and paranoia that permeate Raskolnikov’s journey.

Using bold geometric shapes, stark contrasts, and dynamic compositions characteristic of Constructivism, I sought to reflect the tension and psychological turmoil of the narrative. This design not only honors the novel’s Russian roots but also creates an evocative and contemporary reinterpretation of a literary classic.
